New England’s coastline is a raw, scarred skeleton of an ancient landscape, its jagged rocks twisted and folded by eons of tectonic upheaval. Gouged and flattened by the precession glaciers, these outcrops emerge from the sand and sea like the weathered bones of a once-mighty landscape.
